Home & School Association

Picture

Home and School Association

The Home & School Association is the parent/teacher organization that serves as the liaison between parents and St. Paul Catholic School with the goals of Community, Communication, and Contribution.  All St. Paul Catholic School parents are members of the Home & School Association. Being a member of Home & School is a great way to support your children’s education, meet new parents, and share your ideas to further enhance our children’s school.

Community: Participation in Home & School events and projects help you connect to families you may not meet during regular school activities. In addition, these opportunities allow you to earn H.O.P.E. hours. (Two-parent families are required to volunteer 25 hours; while single parent families are required to volunteer 12 hours per school year – with 50% of those hours required to support our Annual School Auction or the Annual Parish Festival).

Communication: The Home & School Association strives to serve as a liaison between parents and the school. Please feel free to share with us any opinions, suggestions, questions or hesitations you may have. Send us an email at StPaul1930.HomeandSchool@gmail.com. We desire continuous growth and improvement for our children and St. Paul.

Contribution: The Home & School Association, through the creation and organization of multiple fundraising events, is vital to St. Paul Catholic School. Tuition alone does not cover all of the school’s operating expenses, therefore Home & School helps to coordinate fundraising events.

Home & School-Sponsored Events & Initiatives:

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THESE FUNDRAISING EVENTS BENEFIT ST. PAUL CATHOLIC SCHOOL.

New Family Orientation Program - Each year, we welcome new families to St. Paul's by offering an orientation that recaps all the school's activities and information needed to make your St. Paul's experience all it can be. This is a great opportunity to hear how to get involved, prepare your child(ren) for the year and meet other families.

Trunk or Treat - Join us October 29, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00pm | All families are welcome to dress up and 'trunk' or treat down St. Paul's Halloween Lane with kids of all ages. Families are invited to decorate their trunks and join in the fun. Whether you decorate or not, bring candy to hand out to our kids in a safe and fun environment. Enjoy pizza (compliments of Fortunata), popcorn, music, dancing and decorating/costume contests. It's good, clean, spooky fun!

Great American Teach-In - Join us November 18, 2021 from 8:30 - 11:00am | Come join our students and share your profession or volunteer position. Talk about why you love what you do, how you got started, what a typical day looks like and any advice you have learned along the way. You can make a difference in the life of a student!

Senior Christmas Sale - December 2, 2021 at 8:15am | One of the best events of the year! All St. Paul's students get to shop in our "St. Paul's Christmas Shop" and purchase wrapped gifts for their parents, families and friends. There is no greater wonder than a child finding that perfect gift. All gifts are donations ranging from Christmas ornaments to fun small gifts for just a dollar or two. It is a wonderful way to kick off the Christmas season!

Grandparents Day - We welcome all Grandparents to join us February 4, 2022 | It's special day when all St. Paul's students celebrate Grandma and Grandpa, Gigi and Poppy, Nana and Grampy and show them how much they love them. It is definitely a day our Grandparents won't want to miss.

Annual School Auction – Don't miss out on this big event on March 26, 2022 | Playful themes vary each year. This important event raises money for great improvements and enhancements to our school. All classes contribute to this school-wide event. Parental involvement is highly encouraged. This is a fun opportunity to satisfy the school’s H.O.P.E hour requirement.

General Meetings - Twice a year we hold a meeting for all our Home & School members to share updates on activities, the upcoming schedule of events and information that is helpful for the Fall and Spring semesters. You can also meet all of our Committee Chairs and find ways to volunteer to earn your H.O.P.E. hours for the year. It's a great time to ask questions and ensure you are ready for the semester ahead.

Coffee with the Principal - Come out and spend time with our Principal, Mrs. Callier as she shares what's on her mind and wants to hear what's on yours. We are so fortunate to have a Principal who cares deeply about our students and school and opens her door to any and all parents to get to know our families and ensure the very best for St. Paul's students. These events will be communicated throughout the year.

Spirit Gear – St. Paul spirit gear proceeds go directly to the school – and are a great opportunity to show your school pride!

Class Liaison Program - We have a team of class liaisons who work directly with classroom teachers and provide important information to the parents of students in each class on various activities, schedule updates, events, school announcements and more. These liaisons are parents' first point of contact for all needs throughout the year. If you want to stay in the know, get to know your class liaisons!

Community Service - Join us in giving back as we invite our St. Paul's families and students to participate in a wide range of volunteer and donation opportunities to support our community. It is also a great way to satisfy the school's H.O.P.E. hour requirement. These service events are a great way to meet new families and teach our students how to give back while having fun.

Socials - Come out and have some fun with other great families at St. Paul's. Keep an eye out for socials that are scheduled throughout the year to bring families and friends together to have some fun. We will have events just for adults and some with the whole family. It is through these socials that we can build friendships that will last a lifetime!

Amazon Smile – When you shop at smile.amazon.com, Amazon will donate 0.5% of the purchase from your eligible AmazonSmile Purchases to St. Paul. This is a simple and automatic way to support St. Paul every time you shop, at no cost to you. Click here for more info.
